Working with ‘matters that concern us all’

Scenario

Engaging in challenges, and doing so collectively and publicly generates controversies. Matters that concern us all are the challenges in which perspectives, interests, powers collide. Rather than circumventing controversies as unwanted in the process, we see value in diving into them. Controversies provide for the drama in which key issues can be well represented and understood. Mapping controversies invites making scenarios. How can matters that concern us all be joined into a fetching and inspirational narrative? One of the ways with which such a narrative can be designed is by using theatrical tools. Matters that concern us all prove to have their own dramaturgy, making space for playing different roles.
